Bidding & Item Admission

Learn more here about bidding and item admission with Ni-Cola Classics.

Bidding

In the run-up to our gallery auctions, you can acquaint yourself with the items that are currently up for auction using our high-quality print and online catalogues. For each piece on offer, there is a description detailing key information on the piece and its reserve price.

Gallery Auctions

There is a variety of ways to take part in an auction. You can attend our auctions in person or submit bids in advance. Of course, it is also possible to place bids over the phone.

At Our Auction House

Auctions are fascinating events to take part in, especially when you can be there in person. You need to register in advance for an auction. For this you will need to provide an ID and your bank details. Having registered, you will receive a bid card, be able to put your own lots up for auction, and use your card to confirm your bids with the auctioneer. The auction goes on until there are no higher bids and the auctioneer has confirmed the bid by dropping their hammer.

By Telephone

If you can’t make it to the auction in person but don’t want to miss out on the live experience, you can also take part in the auction over the phone. To be able to do so, you need to register in advance with your personal details, either for a specific item or for multiple lots. You will be called by a representative from the auction house around five lots before your desired item is due up. The representative informs you of the current bids and asks you in each case whether you would like to go ahead with the bidding until either you or another participant has successfully given the highest bid.

ONLINE & IN WRITING

If you can’t take part in the auction in person, you have the option of placing bids at the highest price you would be prepared to pay for a particular lot in advance and appointing us as your representative. Your highest bid is then included in the bidding process, just as if you were there yourself. Should we receive two advance bids in writing with the same maximum price, the bid that is submitted first will be entered into the auction. Your advance bids should be placed 24 hours prior to the auction at the latest (we can’t make any guarantees for bids submitted later). After the auction, you will receive an email from us informing you whether or not your bids were successful. Advance bids can be sent in via our website, email, telephone or using our bidding form. This can be submitted by fax, post or even via email.

We recommend that you register online prior to submitting advance bids. After registering, the form you have filled out online will always be available on your personal log-in page and you can see all of your advance bids. The form can be submitted online by mouse-click or printed out, signed and sent to us by post or fax.

You can find a reserve price for every lot, i.e. each item. This is the minimum price at which the auction will be opened.

PAYMENT

After you have successfully purchased a lot at the auction, you will receive an invoice to the address provided for your highest bid and the 16 % commission for the automobilia auction plus VAT (19.04 % including VAT). For any subsequent changes to the address provided in advance or to the delivery address, you will be charged a € 15 (net) processing fee.

Please take note of our Terms of Service. We accept the following forms of payment: bank transfer, PayPal, cash payment or cheque. Any charges incurred during payment shall be borne by the invoice recipient.

OPEN SALE

Lots that are not sold at auction can be found in the overview under the heading “Open Sale”.

These items can be bought up to six weeks after the auction for the fixed price stated.

In either case, our experts will provide you with an initial estimate and discuss the next steps with you.

We advise you individually, discretely, for free and with no obligations.

When putting together our catalogue, the pieces will be professionally photographed and described in detail. They are then presented for you accordingly in our intricately designed print catalogue with a photo, stating its catalogue number and reserve price. There are no additional costs for this. The catalogue is delivered to our clients around two weeks before the date of the auction.

In addition to being advertised in the catalogue, each piece is also exhibited in our showroom as part of a preview so interested parties can be won over by the item’s quality and condition.
